LIHU‘E — Kaulia Shiroma scored two goals to lead the Kapa‘a High School Varsity Boys to a 6-1 win over Waimea High School on Saturday during the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation soccer matches at the Hanapepe Stadium.
The Warriors charged back from a 2-1 halftime advantage to win behind goals from Kamalei Gonsalves, Vincent Noguchi, Kamalei Dasalia, and Patrick Urbina.
Kapa‘a varsity boys next visit Island School, Wednesday for a single match against the Voyagers starting at 4 p.m.
Jaiden Sams had the sole score for the Menehune.
On the varsity girls’ field that opened the day’s action in Hanapepe, Kapa‘a varsity girls took a 2-0 win over the Menehune. Tavehi Dubocage and Julia Durocher found the net for the Lady Warriors who come to visit Island School, Tuesday afternoon at the Island School fields.
At the Vidinha Stadium site where Kaua‘i High School hosted Island School, the Lady Red Raiders marked a 2-0 edge over Island School behind goals from Kaleonahe Bukoski and Brianna Ehia.
The Red Raider varsity men were not as fortunate, dropping 3-0 to the Voyagers who got their scores off the feet of Sawyer Rogoff, AJ Galiza, and Ignacio Elzardia.
Kaua‘i High School next hosts Kapa‘a High School, Wednesday with the varsity girls starting at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity boys kicking off at 7 p.m.
