Peter Agonoy Batangan
Peter Agonoy Batangan 79, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Dec. 18, 2021. He was born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on Jan. 31, 1942. He was a retired crew chief supervisor in power plant operations at Lihu‘e Plantation Co.
He was preceded in death by parents Rafael Villa and Maria Magdalena Agonoy Batangan and grandson Anthony Ka‘eo Tomacder.
He is survived by wife Helen Lisue Bernades Batangan, son Brandon-Chad Batangan, daughters Annette (Danny) Visitacion, Melanie (Thomas) Goldie, Theresa (Esmer) Erese-Tomacder, Lynna-Marie Batangan and Brenda-Sue (Jill) Batangan, stepson George (Taryn) Erese, stepdaughters Jalene (Ernest) Ramelb, Janel (Kelvin) Moniz and Stacey (Stephanie) Erese, 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family held private services.

Magdalena Padilla of Hanapepe passed away on Dec. 11, 2020 at the age of 87. She was born on April 2, 1933, in Hanama‘ulu. She was a retired waitress for Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort.
She was preceded in death by parents Pedro and Alejandra Planas, husband Marcelino Padilla, sisters Aurelia Pe Benito Planas Bachiller and Dolores Planas Domenden and brothers Juan Planas and Gregorio Planas.
She is survived by sons Genaro (Margaret) Padilla of Lawa‘i and James Padilla of Hanapepe, daughters Angie (Burt) Rapanot of Kekaha, Virginia (Joel) Maimon of Ewa Beach, O‘ahu and Donna Padilla of Kane‘ohe, O‘ahu, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, sister Josephine Stone of Honolulu, and by numerous nieces and nephews
A celebration of life is Saturday, Jan. 29, at Westside Christian Center, 8041 Kekaha Rd., Kekaha. A walk-thru visitation is at 9 a.m. and service at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Salt Pond Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and masks are required.
Mikala Kalaulipo Kanahele-Woodruff
Mikala Kalaulipo Kanahele-Woodruff passed away on Jan. 15, 2022, in Kekaha, at the age of 83. She was born on Feb. 25 1938, in Pu‘uwai, Ni‘ihau. She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by parents Rosaline Nizo-Takahashi and Moses Kanahele.
She is survived by son Stanley (Emmaline Semana) Chock, daughters Mildred (James) Chock-Rita, Lorraine (Donovan) Rivera, Colleen (Jay) Niau and Caryn (Tony) Bernaldes, 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, brothers Donald (Annie) Kanahele and Leonard (Cecelia) Kanahele, sister Kaleimomi (Marion) Schmidt, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service is Saturday, Jan. 29, at Garden Island Mortuary from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers. Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing are required.

Eric S. Yoro
Eric S. Yoro, 47, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Dec. 21, 2021. He was born in Lihu‘e, on July 27, 1974.
He was preceded in death by grandmothers Adelaida Sotelo and Benilda Yoro, grandfather Leandro Yoro and uncle Frankie Yoro.
He is survived by parents Ernesto and Anita Yoro, sister Rowena Yoro, brother Robert Yoro, uncle and aunt Billy and Maria Sotelo, aunt Carmelita Yoro, cousins Maribel (Yoro) Thiel and Ryan Yoro, nieces Nyssa Noelani Cabaya Yoro and Isabelle Kailani Cabaya Yoro, and nephews Bryson Kaimana Yoro, Seth Kekoa Carey and Jason Frankie Davis.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Feb. 3, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kapaia, with visitation at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Lihu‘e Cemetery.

Sandra Reyes, 79, of Kalaheo, passed away at home on Dec. 29, 2021. She was born on June 15, 1942, in Torrington, Connecticut, and was a retired teacher.
She was preceded in death by parents Anthony and Grace Svetka.
She is survived by husband Solomon “Solo” Reyes, sons Derrick (Rachel Moke) Reyes, Sullivan “Bino” (Virginia) Reyes and Kaiea Kali, daughters Vanessa (Caesar) Duarte and Kimberly “Kimi” (Nicholas) Cachero, hanai daughter Trisha (Kalani) Kamakea, grandchildren Ridge and Harley Rose Cachero, Niyah Flores-Reyes, Hi‘ilani Moke, Noe, Nazareth, Ava and Wailea Reyes, Ronessa (Colten) Yamase, Jamie (Napua) Duarte, Loren (Shantel) Duarte, Nathan and Neil (Jaylynn) Reyes, Nick and Nainoa Reyes and Kalen Vidinha, and great-grandchildren Kyrian, Ryleigh and Cyannie Yamase and Nakili, Axel, Kaiden and Kamden Duarte.

She was preceded in death by parents Salala and James Kahale, sisters Joyce Simao, Rhoda Pahulehua, Caroline Kahale and Barbra Kahale, and brother Allen Kahale.
She is survived by husband Ambrose Kanahele of Kekaha, sons Ambrose (Berna Souza) Kanahele Jr. of Hanapepe and Ryan (Megan) Kanahele of Oregon, daughter Jaylynn Kanahele of Kekaha, hanai-daughters Marie (Jeffery Shintani) Kahale of Kekaha and Tina (Patrick) Niau of Kekaha, grandchildren Ambrieal Kanahele, Aden Kanahele, Ryden Kanahele-Peters, Korbyn Kanahele, Aria-Rose Kanahele, Briddex Kanahele and Mila Kanahele, brothers Ricky (Amy) Kahale of Kekaha and James (Lauren) Kahale of Kekaha, sister Laurie-Ann (Mitchel) Kali of Hanapepe, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
