Carl W. Dusenberry Jr.
Carl W. Dusenberry Jr. passed away on Jan. 10, 2022, at home in Waimea Valley, at the age of 80.
He was born on Jan. 18, 1941 in Honolulu. He was a welder.
He was preceded in death by parents Carl W. Dusenberry Sr. and Almira Apo, sister Elsie May Dusenberry and son Guy Dusenberry.
He is survived by wife Maureen A. Dusenberry, sons Garrick Dusenberry of Kaua‘i, Shane (Aulani) Dusenberry of Maui and Billy (Angela) Farias of Kaua‘i, daughters Carla (Omi) Dusenberry of Kaua‘i, Kimbre (Manu) Kenolio of Maui, Liselle (Dynamite) Dusenberry Lee of Kaua‘i and Carrie (Kaina) McCallum of Kaua‘i, 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brother Franklin D. (Linda) Dusenberry Sr., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A walk-thru visitation with the family is Saturday, Feb. 5 at Garden Island Mortuary from 9 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a eulogy. The family requests Western attire. Due to COVID-19, face masks and social distancing are required.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Peter Agonoy Batangan
Peter Agonoy Batangan, 79, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Dec. 18, 2021. He was born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Jan. 31, 1942. He was a retired crew chief supervisor, power plant operations, at Lihu‘e Plantation Co.
He was preceded in death by parents Rafael Villa and Maria Magdalena Agonoy Batangan and grandson Anthony Ka‘eo Tomacder.
He is survived by wife Helen Lisue Bernades Batangan, son Brandon-Chad Batangan, daughters Annette (Danny) Visitacion, Melanie (Thomas) Goldie, Theresa (Esmer) Erese-Tomacder, Lynna-Marie Batangan and Brenda-Sue (Jill) Batangan, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Private services were held Dec. 31, 2021.
Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
