Record-high 175 COVID-19 cases Wednesday on Kaua‘i

LIHU‘E — Wednesday, the state Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office announced 175 new cases of COVID-19, another single-day-high case-count day.

This brings the county’s active-case count to 623, with seven hospitalized.

To date, the county has recorded 4,728 cumulative cases.

Vaccines for those ages 5 to 11 are available at Walmart, Longs Drugs at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e and Kaiser Permanente.

The Kaua‘i Mobile Vaccine Clinic through the County of Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i Health Systems Corporation and Wilcox Health is at the Hanalei Neighborhood Center from 1 to 5 p.m. today.

Mobile-vaccine clinics for those 5 and older are available at Kanuikapono Public Charter School in Anahola and the Kekaha Neighborhood Center Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Walk-ins are accepted, and minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
