Following are lane closures planned this week:
Anahola
• The right-lane closure of Kuhio Highway in both directions between mile markers 13.6 and 16.7, Anahola bridge and S. Ko‘olau Road, is scheduled Monday through Friday, Oct. 4 to 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for landscaping and tree-trimming work.
Hanalei
• The schedule for Hanalei public access this week is: today, two lanes open all day; Monday to Saturday: midnight to 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., two lanes open; 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., single-lane alternating traffic.
Kapa‘a
• A single-lane closure on Kuhio Highway in both directions between mile markers 9.6 and 9.9, Mailihuna Road and Kawaihau Road, with alternating traffic control in the remaining lane, takes place Monday through Friday, Oct. 4 to 8, from 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., for road reconstruction and resurfacing.
Kilauea
• A right-lane closure of Kuhio Highway in both directions between mile markers 24.4 and 25.2, Kahiliholo Road and Kalihiwai bridge, is planned Monday through Friday, Oct. 4 to 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail and culvert work.
Koloa
• Partial lane closures on multiple sections of Koloa and Maluhia roads are planned Monday through Friday, Oct. 4 to 8, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., for punch-list items and striping operations.
Wailua
• Shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapaa bypass road, will take place now through Friday, Oct. 8, 24 hours a day until further notice, for road and shoulder work.
Waimea
• Portions of Menehune Road, Kanu Place and Ape Place in Waimea will be closed from Tuesday to Monday, Oct. 5 to 11, on weekdays, to allow Maui Kupono Builders to conduct road-resurfacing work, weather-permitting. Road resurfacing work will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
