Congratulations, too, Yoshi L’Hote and Vianne Tabata, on their Mea Ho‘omana‘o accolades!

More congratulations to Aren Blake for her “Paniolo Legends,” earning the Garden Island Arts Council (even Carol Kouchi Yotsuda had an ink drawing, “350 Truckloads to the Green Waste”) award at the 2021 ART Works exhibit presented by the Kaua‘i Society of Artists at the KSA gallery at KGC.
Mahalo, Jock Goodman (he said there’s going to be an art gathering on Saturday at the Grove Farm Market in Puhi during the same hours as the Grove Farm Market…gotta go check that one out), for helping collate the winners.
And mahalo, Kevin Glick and his hard-working ‘ohana at the Lihu‘e Pharmacy for all the work they do administering both flu and COVID-19 vaccines, and providing convenience (it’s drive-up; you don’t even need to leave your car!) for people needing COVID-19 tests. And, they do everything with a smile! (The COVID-19 drive-up testing crew said they’re dressing up as COVID-19 testers for Halloween!)
Time to go check out Sheila Bradley of Usborne Books &More, who’ll open up from 3 p.m. today (until closing) at the space next to Cell Everything in KGC. This weekend’s opening supports the St. Theresa School, and Sheila said fall break week is still open if there are any schools interested in being supported. Just check with her at the book fair today, Saturday or Sunday.
