Kudos to RoseAnne Jones (she had to rush off for the Center for Spiritual Living fundraising telethon) and Renee Palmer (she rushed off to the Star 94.3 FM station for additional publicity) on getting the place put together for a great show. You gotta check out the technical awesomeness of Bon Moore’s piece, “Continuity.”
Friday-morning breakfast is always exciting when Tommy Rita starts talking about Nick Rolovich, and Bill Spitz takes advantage of no people to enjoy his morning meal in the food court. Kumu aunty Kapu Kinimaka-Alquiza of Na Hula O Kaohikukapulani likes that morning quiet for her practices with the elders (not “kupuna,” but rather “wise elders”).
Kudos to Grace Meek, Darnell Sugioka-Costales, Ron and Carolyn Morinishi and Wayne Doliente on getting the Hi‘ehi‘e mobile-shower unit to work right at the All Saints Episcopal Church gym in Kapa‘a.
The shower joins the All Saints Episcopal Church’s other benevolent relief ministries like Laundry Love the first and third Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m. You can always have lunch with the 3 Girls in the yellow trailer.
