Kudos to Donna Lynn Loo, Grace Delos Reyes and Kealoha Takahashi on spearheading that chicken-skin 9/11 Day of Service project, where hundreds of school keiki created cards of greeting, hope and mahalo for all those kupuna residing in the care facilities and presented by the staff (they were honored and thanked as well) of the respective facilities because of the no-contact COVID-19 protocol.

Grace was busy taking temperatures and checking in the various guests, too, Friday at the Lihu‘e Civic Center Mo‘ikeha Building.
From the looks of all the COVID-19 new looks, appears that Kaua‘i Retired and Senior Volunteer Program will be honoring its outstanding kupuna in a drive-thru ceremony again.
Mahalo, Morgan Lopez and her sister from the Kaua‘i Lions Club (Morgan was part of the presentation of $1,500 and 285 pounds of food from the Hawai‘iUSA Federal Credit Union month-long food drive to Wes Perreira of the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i Branch,who said he had to open a new account after the presentation).
Morgan (she said Hawai‘iUSA FCU is also doing something for the Kaua‘i Visitor Industry Charity Walk) was going to meet up with her sister, and the Kapa‘a Lions Club (Janice Bond of the East Kaua‘i Lions Club has been working had to bring this club back to life) for a 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance project. Morgan was also joined by Michelle Panoke, Chyenne Beach (her son had a football game with the Lihu‘e Patriots on Saturday, too!), and Tisha Ruiz of the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i Branch, who are the newest Lionesses.
