LIHU‘E — In observance of Statehood Day, County of Kaua‘i and most state offices will be closed on Friday, Aug. 20.
The closure includes all refuse transfer stations, the Kekaha Landfill, all neighborhood centers, the Waimea and Kapa‘a swimming pools, Puhi Metals Recycling Center, all HI5 recycling locations except for the Kapa‘a and Kilauea redemption centers operated by Kaua‘i Community Recycling Services. The schedule for residential refuse pick-up remains unchanged. The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its current daily schedule.
Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Monday, Aug. 23.
