WAINIHA — Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis is selling his Kaua‘i house for nearly $10 million.
Kiedis, whose band recorded songs like “Californication,” “Under the Bridge” and “Can’t Stop” in the 1990s and early 2000s, built the dwelling in 2008. Its development was delayed several years, in part due to the discovery of ancient Hawaiian remains on a neighboring property, The Garden Island reported at the time.
The 2,933-square-foot Kiedis home is built on a 0.42-acre, beachfront lot, and went on the market last month. It features three bedrooms, 3.5 baths and a large media room with surround sound.
“Set like a jewel in one of the most beautiful places on earth, listings of this caliber rarely come on the market,” the $9,975,000 listing reads. “Located on a quiet stretch of beach on Kaua‘i’s North Shore, this custom gated home features cool, shaded verandas, light and bright open living areas, and ocean views that go on forever.”
