LIHU‘E — The County of Kaua‘i and state Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office are sending out mobile-testing and vaccination vans this week, starting today.
A mobile testing van is available for walk-ins Wednesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following county neighborhood centers:
Wednesday, Kekaha; Thursday, Kilauea; Friday, Kalaheo; Saturday, Hanalei; and Sunday, Kapa‘a.
A mobile vaccination van will be deployed starting Saturday, July 31, offering the Johnson&Johnson (single dose) and Moderna (two dose) vaccines to adults 18 and over. This vaccination van will travel around the county, targeting gatherings and community functions.
Businesses, communities and individuals can also request a mobile vaccine by completing a short survey at surveymonkey.com/r/CBQCWY7 or by calling the DOH Kaua‘i District Health Office on weekdays from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 808-241-3495.
Anyone needing an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability should contact the Kaua‘i Emergency Management Agency at 808-241-1800 or kema@kauai.gov.
Requests made as early as possible will allow adequate time to fulfill them. Upon request, this notice is available in alternate formats such as large print, Braille or electronic copy.
Most clinics, hospitals and pharmacies in Kaua‘i are also accepting walk-ins for free vaccines without appointments. For details, visit kauai.gov/vaccine.
I find use of words like “deployment” and “targetting” to be less than coincidental. The militarization of the US DHHS happened gradually and quietly over the years. Whether I choose to be injected with anything or not is the most profound human right, with the right to breathe fresh air even more important.
While the terms sound like a matter of making this vaccine “easily available” it is actually the first not so veiled step in forcing this and any other medical procedure, approved or not, safe or not, experimental or not,on anyone at any time now or in the future. Precisely what the Nazis did to the Jews in German prison camps.
This is not benevolence, folks. I will pass, thank you. Anyone who wants the vaccine or testing is quite capable of finding it on their own. And those who choose based on their research to abstain should never be forced into public humiliation for abstaining nor forced against their will. That is what the Constitution says, and that is what the Nuremberg human rights Codes are all about.
Are they serious? A mobile station is not needed. That is not how they approach getting a check up.
I’m curious, how many people really think that if we achieve an 80% vaccination rate that all restrictions will actually be removed? Or will we just continue with a new set of excuses for continuing the mask wearing, anti-social distancing, mandating booster shots for the latest “new strain” ad infinitum? After all, there are a lot of Greek letters that haven’t been used yet. Requiring a “vaccine passport” for a science experiment perpetrated by Big Pharma, which has caused more deaths and serious injuries than all the other vaccines created in the past 22 years combined defies logic. It also defies our Constitution, unless it now reads “We, the sheeple of the Corporate Snakes of America…..”. Time to wake up before you have no rights.
Anyone remember Polio… yeah! Shut the hell up and get the vaccine. Morons
Yes, truthbeknown, some people will never admit the truth, will never be vaccinated, and worse, hang out with others of their ilk, indoors without masks allowing this epidemic virus to persist in the community and evolve into evermore sinister versions. Just think, we could have ended it in America over a month ago if all eligible got the vaccine. Instead the non vaccinated are going to ground zero (Vegas) where they get the disease and spread it to friends and family. Some whole families are hospitalized in Hilo.
