Monday was a great time to catch up on the latest sports (that homemade bread pudding was a winner, Tommy Rita!).
Monday was a great time to catch up on the latest sports (that homemade bread pudding was a winner, Tommy Rita!).
Mahalo, Nick Abramo of Bedrock Sports (it’s a website!) for the first published Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation football-game notice of the Friday, Sept. 10 kickoff at 7:30 p.m., and a late-breaking story of Hawai‘i’s Carissa Moore getting an Olympic gold medal in women’s surfing event Monday night!
Kukui Grove Center was a happening place, as Rose Marie Garabilla of Rose Pinoy’s Favorites can now open her doors after getting her state Department of Health green card (and Kukui Grove maintenance changing out her lamps for newer, more-energy-efficient varieties). So, when does Paradise Sports open (the lights were on during a stop at Times Supermarket Monday night)?
The Kaua‘i ‘Ohana Resource Kiosk continues its opening momentum by teaming with Buffy Compoc Trugillo (yes, she and coach William Trugillo were helping in the rain at the Back to School Bash!) and the Kamehameha Schools and Alice Luck of the Kaua‘i Resilience Project to host Project Kuleana this Saturday at 5 p.m. in the KGC food court, where the “Nani Kaua‘i” premiere will treat people attending (good time for dinner and a video!).
Amy Chun of the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau (no farm fair again this year because of that virus thing) was busy getting video of all the green bounty at the Pau Hana Market Monday. New harvests of okra hit the tables, and the dragonfruit offerings now include white, red and, this week, pink!
