Shoppers to the Grove Farm Market in Puhi lost little time getting re-acquainted with the masters in green Saturday as conditions loosen at the University of Hawai‘i.
Vendor Mayette Loseto announced her third variety of dragonfruit: pink. Yotsachai Wirat said the watermelons are coming in nice and sweet, and Ernie Domingo (he got to talk story with Dean Nonaka, too) got the last bag of lilikoi cookies (he said they’re really good) from Nikol Nonaka. Guess got to go early to avoid that.
People are looking for something to do, said Melissa McFerrin-Warrack of Kukui Grove Center as she watched a stream of people (yes, there were adult climbers, too!) at Da Pali Climbing Wall set up in the shopping center’s parking lot because the outdoor seating at Genki Sushi keeps vehicles from driving into the mall.
Melissa was also inferring to the loosening of restrictions that will allow the Hawai‘i Children’s Theatre to offer “The AristoCats Kids” starting Friday in a unique outdoor setting in consideration of COVID-19. Tickets are available (get yours, early!) through the hawaiichildrenstheatre.com. Tickets are also available for “Adventure Theatre Performance” that will be on stage July 29, 30 and 31, at the Puhi Theatrical Warehouse.
Kudos to Tiffany Dick and the Aloha Dance Studio (luminaria dancers for the upcoming Relay for Life?) ‘ohana on a great open house, where some of the dance instructors had an opportunity to bring out their other talents in the variety of pop-ups that joined Misha Hawai‘i (they were still busy Saturday) at the KGC.
