Bev Pang knows Misha Lam’s mom, and, with the urging of Laurie Ho and Edie Ignacio Neumiller (congratulations on the success of your recent endeavor to benefit the YWCA of Kaua‘i — Sandy G golf tournament coming up, Aug. 1 at the Hokuala Golf Club! — women’s shelter!) had to pick up something from the tables of the Misha Hawai‘i pop-up that made its first appearance on Kaua‘i over the weekend at the Kukui Grove Center.

Peter Rayno was doing his lunch thing with fellow Kaua‘i Senior Softball players (Ernie Domingo is real handy with that baseball collector app) and was comparing his Yankees’ Jackie Robinson card that he picked up for some cents at Hanama‘ulu Store, and today, is bricked at an estimated more than $3,000. Garrett Agena was comparing that against his Mickey Mantle that if it was better than an “8,” would be worth more than $3,000, and he said that’s what happens when you stick the card in the bike spokes…now, what’s with the Yankees and all that COVID-19?
Congratulations, Kaua‘i Police Chief Todd Raybuck and all the support ‘ohana on the new sergeants and lieutenants, and the great set up under Tier 5 conditions…message to Councilwoman Felicia Cowden (yep, her son was in the last Recruit Class Graduation!) — tell your namesake Hurricane Felicia to leave us alone!
