Kudos to Chip Bahouth of the Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort (was nice to run into Chuck Brady, who was “baby-sitting” Chip), the Hawai‘i Lodging &Tourism Association Kaua‘i gang (yes, even Samira Siale — Tyrus Siale was working with the Kaua‘i Lifeguard Association! — was helping chase down paperwork), and all (Michelle Panoke, Tisha Ruiz — even Oliver Remigio came out! — and Chyenne Beach of the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i Branch helped with registration) the Kaua‘i Visitor Industry Charity Walk ‘ohana on hosting that great fishing tournament.

Brad Hiranaka — he said Kaua‘i Youth Football is doing flag football! — worked that Pacific Coring, Cutting and Concrete mini crane that substituted for the boom) at Vidinha Stadium, where the Park Rats (Bradley Chiba figured out how to do pronto pups en masse!) took care of the appetites at all the fishing camps set up (they were socially distanced!) to watch the big boys come through the drive-thru weigh-in.
Stacie Chiba-Miguel (hope Robert had time for Father’s Day with all that activity) went down to Nawiliwili Harbor Saturday night to get photos of the 140-plus-pound marlin!
The Father’s Day weekend was super busy, as Mayette Loseto was down to just one Forbidden Valley (or, is it Hidden Valley?) pineapple that she said she was not going to sell but enjoy (it works really good if you refrigerate it before cutting) at the Pau Hana Market at Kukui Grove Center Monday in Lihu‘e (the first dragonfruit and kaimana lychee showed up!), where Kessyca Kinimaka of Aegis found time to harvest more tillandsia (they make really good pet plants because they’re air plants!).
Time to check out the prizes available at the fundraiser for Randal Gusman at Bubbah’s Toy Box &Collectibles at KGC. They have a big pop swap coming up Saturday!
