Thank you, Mayor Derek Kawakami and the COVID-19 team Kaua‘i for the Tier 4 announcement!
Thank you, Mayor Derek Kawakami and the COVID-19 team Kaua‘i for the Tier 4 announcement!
Kumu hula Kapu Kinimaka-Alquiza’s Na Hula O Kaohikukapulani threw her arms up in joy because that meant hula classes can resume, and people like Cole Okinaka and Amber Ramson can spend some time enjoying the evening at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e, where the social-media influencers flocked to the milky cereal bar (congratulations, Chyson Aguano and company!), which opened its doors Monday. Aunty Kapu folks got a preview before school let out and the social-media people showed up in droves at the new business across Jamba Juice. No, they weren’t waiting for vaccinations at CVS Longs Drugs Lihu‘e.
Kellie Montemayor of Rob’s Good Times Grill (mahalo for the Rob’s Give Back program contribution to the Zonta Club of Kaua‘i, where the first 50 people will get their vaccination and a $10 gift card!
Congratulations, too, to Greg, Nadine (and can’t forget) and Mason Tipps on the opening of Style Surf in the annex building behind Ace Housemart in Lihu‘e! This is the building where Inkspot Printing, Smiley’s, Daylight Donuts and Po’s Kitchen are located, and they were busy. People must be stocking up on boards ahead of the next swell, although Nadine’s done a great job with the fashion lineup, too.
OK, time to show appreciation for being on Tier 4. Watch those face masks, social distancing, and don’t forget to wash your hands, too!
Happy Memorial Day (does Bart Thomas still have ball-drop tickets?)!
