LIHU‘E — Registration for county summer swim classes takes place at the Kapa‘a and Waimea swimming pools on May 22 at 3 p.m. Registration will not take place on the county website this year.
The program is open to youngsters ages 5 to 11. Enrollment is limited to the first 10 students per class, handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Classes are the following dates:
• Beginner class, session 1: June 3 to July 1, Tuesday and Thursday, 10 to 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and June 2 to July 1, Wednesday and Friday, same times;
• Beginner class, session 2: July 8 to August 5, Tuesday and Thursday, same times;
• Advanced class, session 1: June 2 to July 2, Wednesday and Friday, same times;
• Advanced class, session 2: July 7 to Aug. 6, Wednesday and Friday, same times.

The Kapa‘a pool is at 4470 Kou St. in Kapa‘a, near the Kapa‘a Neighborhood Center. The Waimea pool is located at 9678 Haiki Rd. on the Waimea High School campus.
