Friday’s case is an adult resident who is a known close contact of a previous case. The source of infection is community-acquired. All active cases are in isolation, and close contacts are being identified, offered testing, and directed to quarantine. Investigations are ongoing.
“In addition to getting vaccinated, keeping distance, and staying home when you’re sick, mask-wearing is one of the crucial tools in preventing the spread of COVID-19,” said Dr. Janet Berreman, Kaua‘i District Health Officer. “Kaua‘i will continue to follow Gov. Ige’s statewide mandate on mask-wearing as it develops.”
Stated-“In addition to getting vaccinated, keeping distance, and staying home when you’re sick, mask-wearing is one of the crucial tools in preventing the spread of COVID-19,
Where is the proof?? especially on the mask wearing???
Right Wing propaganda. There has to be hundreds of new cases not being reported.
Mark, feel free to stay at home, wear 3 masks, get all your RNA experimental jabs every 6 months and stay in fear. Us “right wingers” refuse to buy into the propaganda. As I’ve asked TGI on several occasions, just give us unbiased and factual information. To their credit, they seem to be trying to do that.
TGI, you have never answered my question-how many of the 348 cases on Kauai have been hospitalized? If 348 people on the island have acquired COVID and none have been hospitalized, why are we still wearing masks as if we were dealing with the bubonic plague? How about this idea; if you aren’t feeling well, stay home, take vitamin C, zinc and vitamin D till you feel better. If you have to go out, wear a mask. If you suddenly get worse, notify your doctor and if necessary, go to the emergency room. The rest of us who are healthy will avoid people wearing a mask, accepting the probability that they may be infected. Instead of “virtue signaling”, you will be giving a useful message, “I am sick, avoid me”. Even the CDC is now saying that healthy people wearing a mask is not necessary.
