Derwin Kaneshiro
Derwin Kaneshiro passed away on March 12, 2021, in ‘Oma‘o. He was born on Oct. 7, 1955, in Lihu‘e. He was a hog farmer and president for M&H Kaneshiro Farms.
He was preceded in death by wife Valerie Kaneshiro and son Eben Kaneshiro.
He was survived by son Ahren (Shantel) Kaneshiro, granddaughter Jeni Kaneshiro, parents Mamoru and Joen Kaneshiro, siblings Serene (Gary) Towner, Meryl Momohara, Mark Kaneshiro and Troy (Margaret) Kaneshiro, and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
A private gathering will be held. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts). Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Pedro L. ‘Larry’ Paet
Pedro L. “Larry” Paet, 75, of Lihu‘e, passed away on April 10, 2021, at Wilcox Medical Center. He was born in Koloa on Nov. 26, 1945, and was a taxi cab driver for Ace Kaua‘i Taxi.
He was preceded in death by parents Pedro and Abelina Paet, brother Bernardino “Jerry” Suetos Jr., and granddaughter Connor.
He is survived by wife Ligaya R. Paet, children Hazel (Dexter) Juvan and Chad (Divina) Paet, sister Lydia P. (Fortunato) Rebugio, and grandchildren Chayson, Logan, Caleb, Liam and Caitlin.
A celebration of life is at Immaculate Conception Church Saturday, May 1, with visitation to begin at 9:30 a.m. with services to follow at 10 a.m.
Social distancing and face masks are required.
A private family burial will take place later.

Isidro ‘Sid’ Yadao Belmonte Jr.
Isidro “Sid” Yadao Belmonte Jr., 70, of Kilauea, passed away at his home on March 27, 2021.
He was born on July 20, 1950 in Lihu‘e.
He retired from Office Max, formerly known as Hopaco, as a logistics manager.
He was preceded in death by father Isidro “Ising” Sison Belmonte Sr., mother Esmenia “Essie” Edica Belmonte, and brothers Andrew and Patrick Belmonte.
He is survived by children Maile (Dustin) Alfiler, Pualani (Herman “Ekolu” Chong III) Belmonte, Cheryl (Franklin) Cummings, Brandie (Ross) Pimental and Aaron (Whitney) Belmonte, all of Kapahi, grandchildren Kekoa, Chelsey, Trestin, Kystin, Ashley, Courtney, Kayla, Teiven, Zavier, Aliyah, Makana and Triton, great-grandchildren Kaikoa, Keli‘ikoa, Colbey, Corissa, Rhiley, Blake and Paisley, brother Eric (Cyrstal) Belmonte, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many more close loving, long-time family friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, April 24, at St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea at 8:30 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire.

Reinhold ‘Ronnie’ Cremer Sr.
Reinhold “Ronnie” Cremer Sr., born on June 13, 1944 in Waimea, passed away on March 28, 2021 at his home in Lihu‘e at the age of 76.
He was preceded in death by wife Daphne K. Cremer, son Richard K. Cremer, grandson Christopher Cremer, sisters Lorraine Medeiros and Jeanette Tu and brother Robert Cremer Sr.
He is survived by daughters Doreen (Glenn) Gomes of Lihu‘e and Kanani (Kela) Kawamura of Anahola, sons David (Denise) Cremer of Puhi, Reinhold (Elmer) Cremer Jr. of Maui and Shawn Cremer of O‘ahu, sisters Marian Lizama of Kapa‘a, Elizabeth Owen of Texas, Loretta Johnson of Texas and Berna Reynolds of Texas, brothers Edward Cremer of Puhi and Eric Cremer of Lihu‘e, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services are Sunday, April 25, at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawa‘i, with visiting from 2 to 2:30 p.m., and a memorial service to follow.

Eduardo C. Pagaduan
Eduardo C. Pagaduan passed away on March 15, 2021, at the age of 98, in Kekaha.
He was born on April 5, 1922 in the Philippines. He was a retired worker from Kekaha Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by wife Grace M. Pagaduan and brother Ponciano Pagaduan.
He is survived by son Edward Pagaduan of Kekaha, daughter Blossom M. (Pedro S. Jr. aka Buddy) Eugenio of Torrance, California, and grandsons Matthew Eugenio and Aaron Eugenio.
There will be a 10 a.m. Mass on Saturday, April 24, at St. Theresa Church in Kekaha.

Maurice Alfred Ruiz
Maurice Alfred Ruiz passed away on March 19, 2021, at the age of 72, in Suisun, California.
He was born on Sept. 30, 1948, in Waimea. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a surgical services technician, vehicle operator and dispatcher and air cargo specialist.
He was preceded in death by parents Alfred and Aniscacia Ruiz, brother Renfred Ruiz and sister Ginger Lee Ruiz.
He is survived by wife Mi Yong Kim Ruiz of California, daughter Mihe (Walter) Muraoka of Honolulu, grandchildren Rosanne Muraoka of Las Vegas and Sean Muraoka of Honolulu, brother Fredric (Luisa) Ruiz of Kekaha, sister Dianna “Dee” (Llewellyn “Lew”) Ruiz Young of Kekaha, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation is at Garden Island Mortuary on Saturday, May 1, from 9 to 11 a.m., with a service at 11:30 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.
