Bernice Juanita Naleiekolukananiokaua‘i Kuala Ragragola
Bernice Juanita Naleiekolukananiokaua‘i Kualu Ragragola, of Kekaha, was born on Jan. 20, 1931, and passed away peacefully on March 25, 2021 at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. She was a retired janitor at the U.S. Navy Pacific Missile Range Facility at Barking Sands. She was the last of her siblings.
She was preceded in death by parents Helen and William Haupu Kualu, husband Teofilo Ragragola, daughter Diane Keller, son Albert Ragragola, grandchildren John-Antony Ragragola, Rodrick Hubert Jr. and Resa Keller, brothers William Yadao, Stanley Yadao and Stanwick Yadao, sisters Becky Doronio, Agnes Mahinai, Grace “Nene” Hislop, Evelyn “Kanae” Olores and Helen “Lahapa” Dotimas.
She is survived by daughter Carmen (Alvin) Arashiro of Kekaha, sons Antonio “Blue” (Mila) Ragragola of Kekaha, Timoteo “Timmy” (Norma) Ragragola of Kekaha and Arnold (Kathy) Ragragola of Hanapepe, son-in-law Nelson Keller of Waimea, 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is Friday, April 30, at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawa‘i, with viewing from 8 a.m. and service at 10 a.m.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing and masks are required.

Maria Butin Balisacan
Maria Butin Balisacan passed away on March 18, 2021, at the age of 90, at home.
She was born on Dec. 8, 1930, in the Philippines.
She was preceded in death by husband Tomix Balisacan.
She is survived by sons Virgilio (Connie) Balisacan of Puhi and Salvador (Sheila) Balisacan of Hanama‘ulu, daughters Lolita (Marciano) Nerizon of California and Martina (Vic) Gano of Hanama‘ulu, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A walk-thru visitation is at Garden Island Mortuary Saturday, April 17, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., with a celebration of life at 11 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and masks are required.
Bruce Rapozo
Bruce Rapozo, 63, passed away on March 5, 2021, at his home in Lihu‘e. He was born on Nov. 14, 1957, and was a talented artist and welder.
He was preceded in death by parents Arthur and Frances Rapozo, brother Steven, and sisters Carol and Susan.
He is survived by brother Gregory Rapozo, sister Roz Rapozo, nephews Travis and Brandon Fukumoto, niece Dionne Watts, and six great-nephews and great-nieces.
A celebration of life is Sunday, April 18, at 10 a.m. at Kaiola Canoe Club at Niumalu Beach Park.
Virgilio Bacsa Cacal
Virgilio Bacsa Cacal passed away on April 8, 2021, in Waimea, at the age of 74.
He was born on March 27, 1947 in Paniqui, Tarlac, Philippines.
He worked for Kekaha Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by parents Domingo Cadiente Cacal and Francisca Bacsa Cacal.
He is survived by wife Fely Cacal, son Virgilio Cacal Jr., daughters Marites Cacal Stevens and Mariza Delos Reyes, grandchildren Myra Ashley Terrado, Harlan Jay Delos Reyes, Ciarra Mae Delos Reyes, Faith Salvador Cacal, Hope Isabella Cacal and Virgilio Christian Cacal III, and sister Vicenta Cacal Martinez.

Sakiko Miyashiro
Sakiko Miyashiro passed away on March 10, 2021, at the age of 91, in Kapa‘a.
She was born on July 6, 1929, in Wailua Homesteads.
She was preceded in death by parents Teiji and Yoshiko Miyashiro, and siblings Kiyoto Miyashiro and Michiko Brace.
She is survived by brother Jack Miyashiro, sister Marion Harris, and numerous nieces and nephews.
