KAPA‘A — Hundreds of youngsters and their families flowed through the outdoor basketball court area Saturday when the Eastside Basketball League opened its eight-week run at the Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex in Kapa‘a.
Saturday’s opening day for the league that formerly contested games at the Bernice Hundley Gym on the Kapa‘a High School campus took the court starting at 11 a.m., with games rotating continuously until the sun goes down, families, teams, and players adjourning the area on completing their respective match ups.
Games this Saturday start from 8:30 a.m. and run until at least 9 p.m. for teams made up of players starting from second grade and running through eighth grade.
The season runs for seven more weeks.
