KOLOA — Just in time for the start of the spring semester, Alaka‘i O Kaua‘i Charter School announced its return to the green level, effective immediately.
“We greatly appreciate the efforts of the good people on the island of Kaua‘i for keeping our active COVID-19 cases low,” said school Director David “DJ” Adams.
“We are pleased to share that we can safely return to the green level to start 2021.”
With the school currently on winter break, the green level means all of the school’s learners report to campus Tuesday, Jan. 5.
“Since Monday is already a professional learning day for our staff, we will welcome all of our learners for full days with no early-dimissal day for this week,” Adams said.
“We will continue to provide busing for ease of transportation.”
The tuition-free public charter school is open weekdays from 7:20 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
Congratulations you guys. Gonna benefit the children so much to be back in school.
