HANALEI — The flagship Florida-based organization of Pandemic of Love recently received publicity on CNN’s “Heroes” segment, and the surplus of interest created a positive problem.
With a surge of mainland donors, Pandemic of Love sent surplus donors to the Kaua‘i chapter who is now looking for more people to help.
Pandemic of Love-Kaua‘i has already helped out 70 Kaua‘i residents and volunteer Anna Meyers assumes there are still plenty of people that need assistance.
“There are people who lost their job or were furloughed and don’t know about us,” Meyers said.
The only stipulation is that a person in need can only seek help once and the amount of help they received varies significantly based on the amount the donors are willing to give.
