The donor even asked Kylie Moniz (he was a national power lifting champion in 2006) to help him with workouts. Pastor John Cabello of New Hope Lihu‘e (they’re planning another food distribution in January) topped the Monday morning with a drive-thru Christmas for Kelvin.
Kudos to Elvrine Chow (we waited for Cynthia Chiang to show up, too) and her brother Hank Zevaat on the great kadomatsu (Mayette Loseto is delivering the one for Cyndi Ayonon — she extended her stay from accepting a Hawai‘iUSA Federal Credit Union contribution to the Zonta Christmas Fund) that was available for shoppers at the Monday Pau Hana Market at Kukui Grove Center. Just make sure it’s already installed because, according to Elvrine, you’re not supposed to do it on the 29th and 31st (that means you had to do it today to be ready for New Year’s).
Janice Bond (she finished her quarantine from being an Electoral College elector for the presidency) was waiting patiently for hers. And it’s no figment when Hana Yankowitz got to do the cowbell signaling the start of the market, where a lot of people were looking for the New Year’s foods. Stephen Fujii even got a kadomatsu while waiting for Sylvia to finish gallery-sitting, and Ron Wood almost forgot he had to pick up his.
