“During the pandemic, people are looking at new ways to earn income, and now is the time to start a company,” said Kaua‘i center Director Robbie Melton. “This workshop will provide insights into how to vision your company, create a plan for sustainable growth and consider funding needs.”
A registration fee of $15 is required, and the registration deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 14. The topic of the webinar is “Managing a business.”
She said the webinar will help new and existing business owners learn how to get a business plan started to help plan their first or next five years of business.
The webinar will also go over what resources are available to get a business started and how much money a business owner will need to keep their business going.
According to Business Plans Hawai‘i on O‘ahu, there are three types of business plans. The first is the external business plan, which aims to persuade private investors or bankers that a business is suitable for investing in or lending to.
The second is the start-up business plan that explores the feasibility of a new business and what is needed to get the business off the ground.
The final is the internal business plan, developed by managers and staff of existing businesses and aims to make the business more successful.
