Dennis Fujimoto / The Garden Island

A military aircraft does touch-and-go at Lihu‘e Airport during The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center donations event Friday at the Kaua’i Resource Center near the airport.

Robert Kubota of Pono Market said the only thing missing at “his beach” is the Corona (not the virus) at the Kapa‘a scene painted by Neithard Horn in 2006.

East Kaua‘i Lions Club President Janice Bond said she was the teacher for both Jaye Gayagas-Youn (she was guarding her cereal kingdom) of the Sheraton Kaua‘i Coconut Beach, and former county Public Information Officer Mary Daubert, who appeared for the first time to help with food distribution for the employees of the Waipouli resort. Kudos to Chef Lucas Sauter on putting together that Chinese meal (that veggie roll done a la lumpia style was a definite winner).
