Now, they’re going home with a new baby, Luca, who was napping through the well-baby check at the West Kaua‘i Medical Center when the Kaua‘i Rertied and Senior Volunteer Program Advisory Council members rolled up with their appreciation care packages for the Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital frontline workers.
Kudos to all for those nice reasons to celebrate.
More kudos to Jaime Shigeta and the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank on hosting a food distribution for The Point at Po‘ipu employees, and Tina Brun and her St. Raphael Church volunteers, who got help from the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i Branch (they also helped Deacon Bambi Emayo and the Holy Cross Church gang Tuesday) in doing monthly food distributions. What was on the menu, Charlie Raco? Zonta Club of Kaua‘i volunteers Morgan Lopez and Wynde Thomas (she had the Spirit Award sign safely tucked away, Lacey Love) joined the crew from The Point in moving out a bunch of food. Kelvin Moniz of the KIFB even had time to check out part of the Nwiliwili Yacht Club Wahine Series race before his Lions Zoom meeting.
