Have you tried the Travis Scott Meal yet? This is the week Darlene Chun and Brandon Yoshimoto (check out the announcement of the new Sony camera for vloggers Sept. 15) are adding the free cup of coffee (yes, you need your school ID) now through Sept. 27 for state Department of Education educators at the four McDonald’s restaurants, in a show of teacher appreciation.

Congratulations to Darrel and Nadine Horner, Shane and Christy Kahananui on the blessing and opening of Lawai‘a (Kahu Wayne Vidinha said it means “Fish” or “Fisherman”) Fish Co. that opened its doors Saturday in the Lihu‘e Industrial Park Phase II. Haven’t had the pleasure of running into Jaelene aka “Buggy” Horner since the days of the Kaua‘i Community Market in the Kaua‘i Community College parking lot (yes, it’s still closed except to students and employees).
Closed or not doesn’t matter, because coach Ron Motosue had his ‘ohana in tow, enjoying some Pineapples in Paradise (they were in the All Saints’ Episcopal Church parking lot), and coach Todd Fuerte stopped for dinner at the Island Village Market after a non-sports assignment (are they still doing weddings?). Kudos to All Saints Episcopal Church and Preschool Youth Minister Cami Pascua and Ke Akua youth group for hosting the virtual satellite site for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, where Wayne Doliente is still waiting for word on when we’re going to have Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation volleyball.
OK, how about Halloween, or Thanksgiving, or even Black Friday?
