The excitement didn’t end there, though, as Helena Cooney became the newest member of the East Kaua‘i Lions Club during special induction ceremonies officiated by Lions Zone Chair Harvey Kinoshita, Past District Governors Roy Nishida andKelvin Moniz (he also leads the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank), and EK Lions President Janice Bond, who recruited Cooney and invited her to volunteer Thursday during the club’s volunteerism.
