Nathan Nalei Naumu
Nathan Nalei Naumu, 59, native son of Kaua‘i and longtime resident of Las Vegas, died on June 5, 2020, at home. He graduated Waimea High School in 1979. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by father Hughes Nahuka and mother Dorothy Bayot, brother Hughes “Tino” Jr., son Tallon Patrick and wife Karen Cruz.
He is survived by son Daniel (Jaisa), granddaughter Gabrielle Grace, grandson Julian, son Timothy (Tiffany), grandson Kaleb, son Nate of Palmore, Virgina, sister Yvette Gettner of California, sister Nadine Naumu of Hawai‘i and brother Troy Naumu of Nevada.
Arrangements are being handled by Desert Memorial Cremation in Las Vegas. No mainland services will be held. A military service is pending for October at the Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.

Alfredo Albuja Orellana Sr.
Gustavo Alfredo Albuja Orellana Sr., 60, of Lihue, passed away on June 19, 2020. He was born in Ecuador on Nov. 28, 1959. He owned and operated Gus Tile Marble &Granite Shop.
He is survived by wife Aminta E. Albuja, sons Gustavo (Juli) Albuja and Michael Albuja, daughter Jennifer (Oliver) Gray, parents Jorge and Teresa Albuja, siblings Doris (Dulio) Amaya, Jorge (Sandy) Albuja, Janet Albuja and Jose (Lorena) Albuja, grandson Leo Gustavo Gray, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Monday, July 6, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. and services at 10 a.m. Face masks are required.

Douglas Tirso Cruz Aviguetero
Douglas Tirso Cruz Aviguetero departed this life and went to heaven on June 24, 2020, at his home in Kaumakani. Born on Sept. 6, 1957, in Waimea, he was previously a welder for Olokele Sugar Co. &Gay &Robinson, and most recently an arresting gear mechanic for Harris Corp.
He was preceded in death by parents Fredric Cruz and Mary Kapahu Aviguetero, son Scott Dale Lanakila Cruz Aviguetero, and granddaughters Anela May and Deven Nordmeier.
He is survived by wife June Dale Furtado, daughters Chanel (Danford) Kaeo, Raquel (Nathan) Santos, Devi (Kevin) Nordmeier and Ashlee (Chad) Pimental, hanai children Isaiah (Kea) Kanahele and Brandon Hamada, grandchildren Harley-Lyn, Renee, Nainoa, Hayley-Jay, Heidee-Lei, Keiara, Danford and Alena, brothers Fred (Walnita) Aviguetero, Henry (Jasmine) Aviguetero, Marshal (Teresa) Aviguetero, Elvis (Sharla) Aviguetero, Rocky (Lola) Aviguetero, David Aviguetero and Patrick Aviguetero, sisters Carmelita Haumea, Estrellita “Eta”(Shane) Castillo and Estelle ‘Nelly’ (Jeremy Hausam) Aviguetero, numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing and talk story with his family (social distancing and masks required) will be held at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary in Koloa on Friday, July 10, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. There are no services scheduled at this time.

Malina Banquel
Magnolia Lei Mokihana Malina Banquel passed away on June 9, 2020, at the age of 66, in Lihu‘e. She was born on Dec. 3, 1953, in Lihu‘e.
She was preceded in death by father John S. Malina, Jr., mother Nancy M. K. Malina, brother John S. K. Malina and sister Nancine K. Okano.
She is survived by husband Ricardo Banquel of Lihu‘e, sons David K.M. (Nelda) Banquel of Hanapepe and Philip K. (Kim) Banquel of Lihu‘e, daughter Malia K. Banquel of Lihu‘e, grandchildren Kaikane Cardinez, Blaise Banquel, Kemren Banquel, Kannon Banquel, Kaelyn Banquel and Colten Banquel, sister Grace H. Kamai of Makaweli, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at Kekaha Harbor House on Saturday, July 18, with visitation at 9 a.m. and services from 10 to 11 a.m. Light refreshments will be served. Masks are required.

Aaron Gabriel Cummings
Aaron Gabriel Cummings, 63, of Lihu‘e, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2020. Known especially for his impeccable drumming styles, he was an accomplished musician and entertainer. He was also an avid waterman who was happiest whenever he could be in the ocean. In fact, his favorite attire was a T-shirt, surf shorts and slippers. Hhe was always ready in case the surf was up. He was also a loving father, son, brother, cousin and “Papa” to his cherished grandsons.
He was preceded in death by daughter Ka’iulani Cummings and father Abraham “Bra” Cummings.
He is survived by sons Daron (Chandi) Cummings and Kaili (Mandi) Panui, mother Dolly (Bob) Gabriel Mandap, brothers Abraham (Carol) Cummings and Willie Cummings, sisters Rinda (Kappy) Aiu, Mamo (Max) Graham and Koki Cummings, grandsons Hazyn, Xaenon, Levi, Steel, Kaleb and Kholten, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunties and cousins.
The family wishes to extend its sincerest, heartfelt mahalo nui loa to Donna Takiguchi (cousin) and Cindy Rodrigues (former wife/life-long friend) for their constant love and faithful care, and to his doctors, nurses and caregivers.
A private celebration of life Mass will be held.

Allan Rachap
Allan Rachap of Koloa passed away at his residence on June 27, 2020, at the age of 83. He was born on April 18, 1937, in New York. He was a financial consultant and served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by wife Judith Rachap, daughter Marilyn (Scott) Gerber, son Michael Rachap, sister Rhoda (Stephen) Konisberg, and grandchild Marty Rachap.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
