Retired as a chef from the Hilton Garden Inn, Glenn said they prepared for 150 meals, Tuesday, at least 100 going on the road with volunteer Bart Thomas who delivers to the homeless camps at Lydgate and Anini.
Aletha Thomas of Monkeypod Jam (she said it’s like the old days with Sandy Poenhelt and The Right Slice) was back at the Kukui‘ula Pop Up Markets with not only her jars of jams and jellies, but with an assortment of baked goods as well as menus of their Saturday Brunch in Lawai…and don’t forget Father’s Day (did you see the Father’s Day Brunch Box?) is Sunday.
Aletha said Monkeypod Jam also launched its The Stoop, a drive-through manned by Lawai girl Aliana Ho during the weekdays from 7 a.m. to noon with coffee, espresso, smoothies, teas, breakfast and lunch.
Okay, time to go check out the Kaua‘i Government Employees Federal Credit Union’s food distribution (hurry, only limited supply!) at the Lihu‘e Branch.
