LIHU‘E — Greg Askew of Ono Pops said Tuesday they’re only missing Wilcox Health in deliveries.
“We’ve delivered to three fire stations, the Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital and the Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital,” Askew told Mayor Derek Kawakami, who accepted a load of Ono Pops for his office staff. “These were all delivered through the match program. We’re still waiting for Wilcox Health.”
Askew said the donations-match program will have Ono Pops matching 50% of the donors’ request.
As an example, if someone wants to donate for any to first responders such as medical or nonprofits serving the hungry, Ono Pops will match 50% of the order. An example would be if someone wants to donate to lifeguards, Ono Pops will kick in five pops for every 10 ordered.
“And we deliver, too,” Askew said. “The deliveries are done from the Lihu‘e commercial kitchen to anyone’s door with a 15-pop minimum order.”

Tuesday, Askew stopped off at the Kaua‘i Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Operations Center with 45 pops for the EOC crew before moving to the mayor’s office with 15 pops, and the Office of Economic Development with another 15 pops.
“This is our donation,” Askew said. “These people are working hard and deserve a break to enjoy a pop.”
Ono Pops are available in 28 flavors — all natural, made on Kaua‘i by residents. Vegan and no-sugar-added flavors are also available. A full list of flavors and locations where pops are found can be found on onopops.com.
