Beau Acoba brings more face masks to Koloa School Principal Leila Maeda-Kobayashi Friday during the final face-mask distribution sponsored by Acoba’s Grove Farm Company. Some 15,000 face masks brought in by the company were given to the public from three distribution sites.

Rhonda Cabelo said the one nice thing about Police, Pastors &Platters at the Puakea Golf Course is how the event brings all the people together — living together, working together and getting through this COVID thing. Don and Jodi Gusman, Corey Gokan, Ricky Butay and Randal Gusman were at the golf course from 4:30 a.m. to start cooking the Portuguese sausage and eggs using one of Chef Don’s fancy (who said this was Hollywood camping — a hose just for washing off sand before entering the tent?) home-made hose adapters. Kudos to Fran Roach for helping get the outdoors ready for food preparation.
