LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Humane Society is partnering with the County of Kaua‘i to offer free pet food for families who are struggling during the COVID-19 crisis.
“We are proud to be able to offer support to Kaua‘i’s pet owners during this difficult time. We know how important pets are, particularly during times of uncertainty, and we don’t want any pet owner to have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pets,” said Mirah Horowitz, executive director of KHS.
If you have recently applied for unemployment or need assistance feeding your pets, you can sign up online at kauaihumane.org. Food picks ups are permitted once every two weeks when you pick up a week supply and are available by appointment on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
