The Zonta Club of Hanalei awarded the following scholarships to Kaua‘i high school students and Kaua‘i women attending college.
The Zonta Club of Hanalei awarded the following scholarships to Kaua‘i high school students and Kaua‘i women attending college.
The $3,000 Kirsten Lynne Salmon Nursing Scholarship is awarded to Leilani Higashi, who attends Chaminade University, Honolulu, and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
The following women are each awarded a $2,000 scholarship: Erin Clark, Jamie Yadao, Brianna Ellis, Kelsey Molina and Maria Schultz are nursing student at Kaua‘i Community College; Rachel Dressler is graduating from Kaua‘i High and plans to become a constitutional law attorney; Isabella Kotsol is attending the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa to become a mechanical engineer; Kirra Lindman is graduating from Kapa‘a High and plans to become a civil engineer; Tu Nguyen is graduating from Kapa‘a High and plans to become a dental hygienist; and Shaelyn Tavares is graduating from Kapa‘a High and plans to become an environmental engineer.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the Zonta Club of Hanalei will not be able to honor these outstanding young women in person, and wish others would join with them in honoring their accomplishments and future endeavors in spirit.
