Mahalo, Sally Cravens for the Barbara Oki pancakes (good substitute for birthday cakes), and mahalo, Craig, Renee and Chase Kawakami for the cadillac of bento box lunches from Po’s. Did anyone check out Matt Blair and the Kukui Grove Cinema snack shop before they closed, Tuesday?

Emily Manual of the Puakea Golf Course developed a great interactive website for food pickup and delivery during these COVID-19 times, and kudos to Fran Roach and his ‘ohana on keeping the golf course open…they were sold out, Sunday with a sea of happy, laughing golfers. Mahalo to all — Fran, the golf course crew, and especially the golfers — for maintaining the social distancing and health and hygiene protocols while getting some stress relief.
Social distancing was also important for David Adams of the St. Catherine School who spread out the educational packets in Coyne Hall, and limited parents and students to just a maximum of 10 people at a time. He even encouraged people to bring their own pens to sign in and register to minimize contact with the ones they had available…mahalo to all those attendants at Safeway for constantly milling about disinfecting all the store’s many touch points.
And, finally, if you haven’t done the census, yet…it’s a good activity while staying at home.
