LIHUE – Department of Health has confirmed the third case of COVID-19 on Kauai in an adult female resident, who is currently in stable condition and isolated at home.
LIHUE – Department of Health has confirmed the third case of COVID-19 on Kaua‘i in an adult female resident, who is currently in stable condition and isolated at home.
Mayor Derek Kawakami said the woman traveled back to Hawai‘i from New York on March 16 and immediately sought medical attention.
““From there she went directly home and remains in isolation. The department of health is investigating any close contact she may have had and is regularly monitoring her well being,” Kawakami confirmed Friday.
As of Friday afternoon, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state of Hawai‘i is at 37, with five on Maui, one on Hawai‘i Island, 28 on O‘ahu and three on Kaua‘i.
Kawakami said Friday the two other cases on Kaua‘i are in stable condition in isolation.
