Lacey Love (she was one of the spearheads along with Carol Yotsuda of the Garden Island Arts Council of that Rice Street mural fronting the former The Salvation Army Thrift Store) was thrilled to discover the Coffee with a Cop following her tour of the Kauai Coffee Company coffee fields Tuesday, where the community could meet and talk-story with Kauai Police Department Chief Todd Raybuck, one-on-one. Kudos to the organizers of this event that pulled in people from everywhere who wanted to chat with the chief.

Faith Soto (she’s going to be at the 34th Annual American Culinary Federation Breakfast with Kauai Coffee Sunday, Feb. 16) said Darla Domingo (Bev Brody is doing the Worksite Wellness Challenge kickoff Friday, Feb. 21, too) missed the event because she was on the mainland. Pre-sale (discount pricing over walk-in) tickets for the ACF Breakfast are available at the Kauai Coffee Visitors Center as well as the Kauai Community College cafeteria and a lot of other places, island-wide for this big, all-you-can-eat event.
OK, time to go visit Mahea Contrades (she’s excited about all those cow eyes) and the Eleele School STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Night, where she said there’re students from all over coming to help out from 5:30 p.m.
