Elizabeth ‘Bea’ Ebinger
Elizabeth “Bea” Ebinger, 73, of Kapaa, entered eternal life on Dec. 12, 2019, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lihue on April 13, 1946, she was a linen attendant at Plantation Hale.
She was preceded in death by husband Hitcliff “Bully” Ebinger, parents Andres and Elizabeth Leilani Polan, sister Judy Spencer, and brothers Andrew and Joseph Polan.
She is survived by sons Jonathan (Michelle) Apana and Joshua (Michelle) Apana of Kauai, James (Noelani) Apana III of Oahu, Joseph (Charla) Apana and Jeremiah Apana of Washington, sister Alicia (Rupert) Rowe, and brother Tuffy (Lorna) Poe, all of Kauai, 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Kapaa Assembly of God Church, with visitation at 10 a.m. and services to follow.
The family suggests aloha attire.

Rosenda Pasion Madrid
Rosenda Pasion Madrid, 100, of Hanamaulu, passed away at Hale Kapuna Heritage Home on Dec. 29, 2019. She was born in Baccara, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on May 1, 1919, and was a dedicated homemaker.
She was preceded in death by husband Venancio Madrid, daughter Eugenia Bergonia and son Mark Madrid.
She is survived by children Petra (Ben) Barbosa, Angel (Gloria) Madrid, Abelina (Cuyler) Shaw, Norbertha Madrid, Juanita Abara and Jose (Juliet) Madrid, 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, brother Benjamin Pasion, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Jan. 24, at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall, with viewing from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Jose Saludares Beltran Sr.
Jose Saludares Beltran Sr. passed away on Dec. 7, 2019, at the age of 82. He was born on March 19, 1937, in Puruganan Dingars, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was a retired maintenance worker with Coco Palms and a World War II veteran.
He was preceded in death by parents Maximino Beltran and Mercedes Saludares, brothers Arturo Saludares and Lito Beltran, sisters Felicitas Seismundo, Elvira Beltran, Lucina Andam and Claudia B. Manuel.
He is survived by wife Eglorina “Nita” Pascua Beltran of Kapaa, son Jose P. Beltran Jr. of Wasilla, Alaska, daughters Joyce B. (Jesse) Fadden of Anchorage, Alaska, Janice P. (Bavy Kieng) Beltran of Anchorage, Alaska, Nanette B. (Randall Lee) Smith of Anchorage, Alaska, and Kaylie Ann P Beltran of Kauai, grandchildren Austin Furumoto, Kaylin Furumoto, Danin Hanson, Aaliyah Beltran, Alexondrei Beltran, Michael Beltran, Maegan B. Priestley, Leila Fadden, Amanda Kieng, Kaitlyn Kieng, Breanne Smith, Deanza Smith, Kloie Sarme-Smith and Jaylee Kamanuwai, sister Juliana B. Villa of Maui, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16, at St. Catherine Church in Kapaa, with visitation from 8 to 10 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., and burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.
