LIHUE — Ian Emberson, Bank of Hawaii’s assistant vice president and executive loan officer, is no stranger to reaching his goals while helping families reach their dreams of owning their first home. He produced more than $3 million in residential loans on Kauai for the month of November.
He loves what he does.
“I love Kauai and I love the ocean,” Emberson said.
He encourages and educates ohanas on getting to know more about their credit history, and learning more about down payment options before they apply.
Emberson was also one of the original Ironmen on Oahu. He has done the endurance race — 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run — since his pioneer days.
He deflects credit for his banking success.
“My assistant Lorene Tupuola deserves most of the credit,” he said.
Emberson has 25 years experience in banking. His advice for younger loan officers is this: “You are only as good as your last deal.”
Mahalo for all the help both of you gave me!
