“We sing for cookies,” said a parent of the St. Catherine School’s 19 preschool students, mostly 4- and 5-year-olds, who visited the Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Thursday for caroling to guests.
“They were really good,” said Chris Machorek, manager of the resort that only recently started flying the Sheraton flag. “We loved having them, and the guests enjoyed them as well.”
The preschool does caroling as an annual outing, and visiting the newly-renovated Sheraton was a resumption of a tradition following the renovation work.
Following their performance, the students were treated to milk and cookies as well as goodie bags, settling down against the walls of the newly-opened First Light coffee cafe while visitors attracted by the holiday wear of the mascot accompanying the group tried to track down the canine for a photo.
