Florentina “Tina” Dugay Acob
Florentina “Tina” Dugay Acob, 74, of Kilauea, passed away at home on Oct. 21, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Nov. 16, 1944, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines and was a retired housekeeper at The Cliffs at Princeville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pedro Acob; parents, Tomas and Cecilia Dugay; brothers, Rizalino Dugay, Pedro Dugay, Alejandro Dugay; sister Maria Dugay Baxa.
Tina is survived by her daughters, Catherine “Kehau” (Rodney Woodward) Acob, Michelle (Joshua) Acob-Apana, Jacqueline (Jose) Lopez; sons, Edward (Maria) Acob, John-Pierre (Sonrisa Stepath) Acob all of Kauai; aunt Isabel Luluquisen of California; sisters, Salvacion Bolo, Jesusa Cadelinia both of Philippines, Bernarda Dugay, Nenita Bergonia, Ardelina Constantino all of Kauai; brother Emil (Lilia) Dugay of California; grandchildren, Rachel “Momo” (Elele) DeMello, Kawaiolu Apana, Makaio Apana, Luis Lopez, Graciela Lopez, Cecilia Acob, Alexander Acob, Mark Martinez, CJ Martinez; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, at St. Sylvester’s Catholic Church, Kilauea. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at the Japanese Kilauea Cemetery.

Eusebio Teirra Gasmen
Eusebio Teirra Gasmen, 90, of Kapaa, passed away at home on Oct. 19, 2019. He was born in Ilocos Sur, Philippines on April 17, 1929, and retired as an Irrigator with Lihue Sugar Plantation.
Preceded in death by his wife Francisca Gasmen; sons, Constante and Mario Gasmen; 8 siblings.
Eusebio is survived by his 7 children, Rogelio (Leonida) Gasmen of Oahu, Rudolfo (Regina) Gasmen of Oahu, Samuel (Vangie) Gasmen of Oahu, Rizalde (Marilou) Gasmen of Oahu, Evelyn (Ricky) Cunanan of Oahu, Lisa Gasmen of Kauai, Kimo (Emily) Gasmen of Oahu; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother Baltazar Gasmen; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at St. Catherine Church with viewing from 8 a.m., rosary and Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kealia Cemetery.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Merla Ann Nalani Ka’aumoana
Merla Ann Nalani Ka’aumoana passed away in Waimea on Oct. 14, 2019, at the age of 59. She was born on May 20, 1960, in Lihue.
She is preceded in death by her parents David Kaheleiki Ka’aumoana and Ardith Waialoha Ka’aumoana; sisters, Linda Puanani Ka’aumoana-Texeira, Cindy Keala Ka’aumoana-Pa.
She is survived by her sons, Joshua (Ashton) Ka’aumoana of Oahu, David (Deanna) Manu-Ka’aumoana of Kauai; daughters, Saraleigh (Howard M. Toki III) Toki of Kauai, Nicole (Kainalu) Langi-Kau’aumoana of Kauai, Fa’afofoga (Shaun) Ta’ala of Kauai; 10 granddaughters and 2 grandsons; sisters, Doreen Haunani (Bula) Soares of Kauai, Tammy Leilani (Ronald) Contrades of Kauai; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Nov. 16, 2019, at Garden Island Mortuary with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. and a celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Casual attire, flowers welcome.

Claire Rowena “Klask” Alfiler
Claire Rowena “Klask” Alfiler passed away in Kapaa, on Oct. 7, 2019, at the age of 73. She was born on Aug. 2, 1946, in Paia, Maui. She was a retired registered nurse.
She was preceded in death by her parents Betram Klask and Alethea Klask; husband John Riley Alfiler; siblings, Bertram Klask, Jr., Alan Klask.
She is survived by her sons, Dustin Keone (Maile Renee) Alfiler of Kapaa; daughter Dawn Kuulei (Benjamin Jr.) Cummings of Kapaa; grandchildren, Austin “Kekoa” Alfiler, Chelsey Alfiler, Trestin Alfiler, Kekai Alfiler, Ashley Alfiler, Chaunci Cummings, Jordan Cummings, Makenzie Cummings; great-grandchildren John Kaikoa Alfiler; brothers, Clifford (Sandra) Klask of Hilo, Terry (Yuni) Klask of Kapaa; sisters, Rhonda (Patrick) Lizama of Kapaa, Darnell Carvalho of Honolulu, Desiree (Logan) Huddy Akau of Kamuela; and by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held.

Lucrecia L. Pangyasihan
Lucrecia L. Pangyasihan, of Eleele, passed away on Nov. 7, 2019. Born on April 19, 1948, in the Philippines, she was a housekeeper at the Waiohai.
She is survived by her son Jonnie Pangyasihan of New Jersey; sister-in-laws, Sophie Villanueva of Kekaha, Sonia Dizon of Florida, Elinda Peralta of Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial Services for the late Lucrecia L. Panyasihan will be held on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel. Family and friends requests aloha attire.
