Kapaa High School’s Zylan Pa-Conant, finishing 12th in boys individuals, and Dana Murata, capturing first in girls individuals, show off their medals following the Billy Tees Hawaii High School Athletic Association state bowling tournament Friday at the Kauai Bowl in Rice Shopping Center in Lihue.

LIHUE — When Kapaa High School junior Dana Murata embarked on the Billy Tees Hawaii High School Athletic Association state bowling tournament, she just wanted to do better than she did during the 2018 tourney.
