Scott Toru Hirano
Scott Toru Hirano passed away peacefully in Honolulu on Oct. 3, 2019, with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born to Dr. Ben and Elaine Hirano in Lihue on Jan. 6, 1960.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years Kathy (Hara); twin brother Hall Hirano of Honolulu; brother and wife Drs. Timmy and Lisa Hirano.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dr. Ben and Elaine Hirano; sister Ginny Skye Hirano, and his brother-in-law.

Maude Keiko Nalani Shigematsu
Maude Keiko Nalani Shigematsu of Eleele died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Oct. 4, 2019, at the age of 47.
Born May 27, 1972, to Danny and Carol Smith, she was preceded in death by her grandfather Ambrose Smith and grandmother Tsuruko Takamura.
She is survived by her husband Troy Shigematsu; sons, Trysen (Kimrah) Shigematsu Cosier, Theron (Melia Takakusagi), Tevin “Matsu”, Tresten “Maka”, Dylan Balaan; grandmother Yoshie Smith; sister U‘ilani (Nolan “Aba”) Albarado; brother Kawika (Keala Wann) Smith; father-in-law Ricky (Lori-Ann Cabebe) Shigematsu; mother-in-law Winona (Fenton) Lee; sister-in-law Traci (Matt ) Tafiti; brothers-in-law, Kaulana (Allison Tamanaha) Lee, Keilan (Aimee) Shigematsu; nieces, Tavehi and Hina Tafiti, Hali‘a Albarado, Kilinahe Smith; nephews, Teva and Tautua Tafiti.
She worked as a special education teacher at Waimea High School.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Kekaha Boat House. Viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. service at 11 a.m.
The family request casual attire and wear the color blue. Flowers and leis are welcomed.
Albert M Caspillo, Sr.
Albert M Caspillo, Sr., 48 year Fremont, Calif., resident, age 82, died on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019. He was born in Kapaa, on Aug. 21, 1937.
Albert is survived by his wife Juanita and his 4 children, Albert, Jr., Julie, Cheryl and David, and their families.
Funeral services will be held starting with the vigil on Monday, Oct. 29, 2019, at 5 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, Calif., and a High Mass on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019, at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fremont, Calif.
