Welcome back, Branch Harmony and Auhea (its a vizsla dog Branch got in New Zealand) to the Koloa Sunshine Market where those Koloa pineapple are out of season, and Glenna Ueunten just happened to have one remaining bag of lilikoi (its out of season, too). Branch got to watch that video team get footage of the local event where Kathryn Ledesma (shes got jewelry at the Lawai Warehouse) was enjoying the fruits of the jackfruit seeds she got while at the beach.

Risa Clemmons was scooping up bundles of local flora, and Branch was looking forward to meeting the new sunshine market coordinator.
Kudos to Major Victor Aguilar and the Waimea High School JROTC unit, who had a lot of their cadets helping during the 100th Btn memorial service (it was a pleasure to meet Capt. Tim Young in person) where Kimi Blaum (she’s got the Kauai Filipino Veterans medal ceremony coming up Saturday at the Moikeha Building) had a flower for Monty Nishie.
Kudos to Kauai Community College culinary arts department and Hayley Matson-Mathes of the Hawaii Culinary Foundation for coordinating the visit of Chef Sheldon Simeon who provided hands-on learning for the students using locally-sourced products like the ulu harvested from the KCC campus, Kauai Shrimp (they were a hit during the Kauai Japanese Cultural Society fundraiser!) and more.
