Mary Alice Heddleston
Mary Alice Heddleston passed away at Regency Puakea, on Sept. 24, 2019, at the age of 102 and 10 months. She was born on Nov. 26, 1916 . She was an Army Veteran, Special Education Teacher and Red Cross Disaster Worker.
She was preceded in death by husband Roy Riley Heddleston.
She is survived by her sons, Roy Reed Heddleston, Leslie Norman Heddleston; daughter Alice Dyann Lindsey; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and cousins.
Services to be held at Arlington National Cemetery.

Caroline ‘Lei’ Carineo
Caroline “Lei” Carineo passed away at KVMH, on Sept. 27, 2019, at the age of 71. She was born on Jan. 26, 1948. She was a Meal Clerk Assistant.
She was preceded in death by sons, Frank and Carey Carineo; parents, John and Caroline Kia; grandson Travis Serquina; brothers, Peter Kaulia, Vinda Kaulia, Major Cockette; sister Katrina Kia.
She is survived by her husband Frank Carineo, Jr. of Hanapepe Valley; sons, Vinda (Agnes) Carineo of Hanapepe, David (Zenaida) Carineo of Kalaheo, Justin Carineo of Hanapepe, Jack Sagucio of Hanapepe; daughters, Franciana Serquina of Oahu, Lynell Carineo of Hanapepe; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother Clyde (Makana) Kia of Hanapepe; sister Linda (Valencio “Boy”) Vea of Hanapepe; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at Garden Island Mortuary with visitation: noon to 2 p.m. Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Family suggests casual attire.
