All of this didn’t matter to Sadie Hilstrom or Leah Davis, who discovered that tarae (pikini, or galvanized wash tubs from plantation-era days) make great substitutes for swimming pools that were nowhere to be found at the Grove Farm Museum Ohana Day open house Saturday that was being held in conjunction with Smithsonian magazine’s 15th annual Museum Day celebration.
