Regina Cabico Torres
Regina Cabico Torres, 80, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on July 24, 2019. She was born on Sept. 17, 1938, in Dasay Narvacan Ilocos Sur, Philippines and retired from the Kauai Hilton Hotels & Resorts as a house keeper.
She is preceded in death by her parents Severo and Hilaria Cabico; her husband Fausto Sambajon Torres; infant son Francis Torres.
She is survived by her children, Sonny Torres of the Philippines, Juanita (Richard) Agaran of Kapaa, Boni (Cathy) Torres of the Philippines, Clarence (Melba) Torres of Eleele, Anabel (Rhod) Giron of Lanai City, Robert Torres of Kapaa; her siblings, Cresencia Garces of Kealia, Carol (Elpidio) Nono of Kapaa; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grand children; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at Saint Catherine’s Church with visitation at 8 a.m. and a Mass celebration at 10 a.m. There will be a burial to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Ilona Ku’ulani Toi Lin Fu Moritsugu
Ilona Ku’ulani Toi Lin Fu Moritsugu, 77, of Koloa, passed away at her home on Aug. 3, 2019. She was born on Oahu, on Feb. 25, 1942.
She is survived by her two sons, Robin Moritsugu of Kapaa, Ross Moritsugu of Koloa; daughter-in-law/caregiver Corlis Moritsugu of Koloa; brother Vernon, (Lynn) Fu; half brother Lance Fu; step and half sisters, Lissa Fu, Lona Duque, Lani Gomes, Lynn Fu, Leilani Furugen; nine grandchildren, Bricen Moritsugu, Nadine (Michael) Park, Keria Moritsugu Vandehey, Rowin Moritsugu, Christian Moritsugu, Erin “Kalei” Moritsugu, Luca Canil, Jade Rosenthal-Moritsugu, Ross “Kamanu” Moritsugu; two great grandchildren, Emma Park, Nainoa Park; aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Warren “Wally” Moritsugu; son Cory Moritsugu; mother Alice Almeida-Moniz Maglinti; father Lono Fu; step-father Johnny Maglinti Jr.; step-mother Frances Pavao Fu; siblings, Drucilla (Richard) Louis, Landis Fu.
Celebration of Life will be on Aug. 30, 2019, with visitation at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary at 9:30 a.m. and service to follow.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Shelene M. Fujii
Shelene M. Fujii passed away at home on Aug. 2, 2019, at the age of 48. She was born on Aug. 30, 1970, at Wilcox Hospital. She was previously employed with Oceanic Time Warner Cable as a Customer Service Representative.
She was preceded in death by her father Thomas S. Nakamura and grandparents.
She is survived by her sons, Derwin (Kaylan Barretto) Yamamoto of Kalaheo, Dustin (Lehua Hookano) Yamamoto of Kalaheo, Ronsen Macabeo Fujii of Kalaheo; parents Karen Y. Nakamura and Douglas (Sarah) Fujii; brothers, Chris Nakamura of Wailua, Duane Fujii of Hanamaulu; sisters, Douri (Kimo) Doria of Kona, Karene (Miles) Kawamoto of Puhi, Kristie (Darin) Nonaka of Wahiawa, Terry (Paul) Kuribayashi of Koloa, Wendy ( Aaron) Chan of Oahu, Sharie Anne (Ryan Tagomori) Fujii of Oahu, Sharyl Lynn (Eric Armenti) Fujii of Oahu; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 with visitation 9 to 11 a.m., service to follow at Garden Island Mortuary.

Wayne ‘Kahale’ Bautista Rivera Jr.
Wayne “Kahale” Bautista Rivera Jr. passed away peacefully on Aug. 6, 2019, at Wilcox Hospital, at the age of 38. He was born on Feb. 17, 1981, in Lihue.
He is predeceased by both grandparents, Frank Sr. and Juanita Rivera; Theodore and Agnes Pabo.
He is survived by parents Wayne Sr. and Liane Rivera; brother Pomai Rivera; sister Makana Rivera; numerous aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Celebration and Remembrance of Life will be held on Friday, Aug. 30, 2019, at Anahola Beach Park at 5 p.m. service to follow at 6 p.m.
Josephine Remoaldo Silva
Josephine Remoaldo Silva passed away on Aug. 15, 2019, at her residence at the age of 88. She was born in Eleele on Sept. 17, 1930, and was a retired payroll clerk for the Kauai Police Department.
She was preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Mary Remoaldo; brother David Remoaldo; sisters, Helen Data and Agnes Carey.
She is survived by her husband Robert D. Silva; son Alan (Valerie) Silva; daughter Barbara (Edward) Vallejos; grandchildren, Robert Alan Silva, Richard James Silva.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eleele with visitation 8:30 a.m. and Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery, Hanapepe.

Irene Toshie Fujito
Irene Toshie Fujito, 78, of Kapaa, passed away July 26, 2019. She was born in Lihue on Feb. 9, 1941, and retired as a Tour Guide with Kauai Island Tours.
Preceded in death by her husband Masahiko Fujito; parents Takeo Imai and Margaret Yata; step-mother Sachiko Imai; brother Glen Imai.
Irene is survived by three daughters, Susan (Ben) Fujito-Rittmeister, Janice (Steve) Desordi, Valerie (Stephen Pascua) Fujito; four grandchildren, Lauren Desordi, Justin Fujito-Pascua, Kurtis Fujito-Pascua, Kaulu Rittmeister; sister Jean Imai; brothers, Blaine Yata, Grant Yata; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home Assisted the family with arrangements.
Shiloh John Alexander Kapua Aiu
Shiloh John Alexander Kapua Aiu, of Kapaa, born on April 10, 1990, passed away on July 9, 2019, at the age of 29.
He is survived by father Eugene “Kappy” Aiu; mother Rinda Cummings Aiu; sister Angel Aiu; brother Hunter E. Aiu; son Declan Skywalker Kapua Aiu; grandparents, Gramma Dolly Mandap, Papa Bob Mandap; Gramma Verlie Aiu.
Shiloh went to Mililani High School and actively participated in wrestling and judo. He graduated in 2008 and continued to coach both wrestling and judo for a combined 10 years with Mililani and Pac5. Shiloh was a promoter and event coordinator for Wonderland Entertainment and also preformed live at many events under the name DJ Skywalker. Shiloh’s love and passion for everything he did shows through the lives he has touched and the memories people share about him today.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, at St. John Apostle & Evangelist Church in Mililani, followed by Mass service at 11 a.m.
Burial to follow 1:30 p.m. Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery. Aloha attire, flowers welcome.
Theodora Andres Llego
Theodora Andres Llego passed away on Aug. 9, 2019, at Garden Isle Healthcare. She was born on Jan. 1, 1929, in Pangasinan, Philippines. She was employed at the Lihue Westin, now known as the Marriott Resort, as a housekeeper.
She is preceded in death by her father Victoriano Centino Andres; mother Maria Domingo Andres; brother Melanio (Aurelia) Domingo Andres.
She is survived by her husband Hilario B. Llego; brother John (Lourdes) D. Andres; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, at St. Catherine’s Church with visitation at 8:30 a.m. Services will be held at 10 a.m. with a burial to follow.
A celebration of life will be held after the burial at the Kauai Memorial War Convention Hall.
Scot K. Tsuchiyama
Scot K. Tsuchiyama 58, of Lihue, passed away on Aug. 2, 2019, at Straub Clinic. He retired as a manager from the Kekaha Federal Credit Union.
He is preceded in death by his father Stanford Tsuchiyama.
He is survived by his mother Violet Tsuchiyama; brothers, Alan (Joy) Tsuchiyama, Mark Tsuchiyama; sister Iris (Wallace) Zoller; nephews Ryan and Evan Tsuchiyama; dearest friends Aida and Brandi Dolfo.
Services to be held at Lihue Hongwanji Mission, Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, with visitation: 10 a.m. and services: 11 a.m. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.

Lynne Marie Mack
Lynne Marie Mack died peacefully at home surrounded by friends and family on Aug. 2, 2019.
Her greatest loves in life were her husband and two sons. She created a masterpiece of a beautiful and comfy home and an abundant garden with food and flowers.
Her 20 years of service as a hospice volunteer touched the hearts of many Kauai families. Her many interests included paddling on the Wailua river with Kawaikini Canoe Club, Taiko drumming with Taiko Kauai, and Ikibana flower arrangement.
Her family will hold private services.
