Randy Yokoyama was bummed he would miss the Kauai County Farm Bureau Fair because he was heading to the mainland to get his son settled in college. But Bev Pang didnt miss the boat because she just got back from The Great Migration (she missed out on the Heiva I Kauai!) to be able to help at the fair, where you always find celebrities like Sarah Manuel, the 2018 Miss Kauai USA, working the Nathan Wood booth.

Nancy Budd said Kauai Community College Chancellor Helen Cox (congratulations on the honor!) needs a big wall to display all of the commendations she received after the fair was dedicated to her, and state Senate President Ron Kouchi lent out his booth (the popcorn-on-the cob was a blue-ribbon winner!) to the Hawaii Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation. Corteva Agriscience sponsored the Kauai All-Island Band booth (event coordinator Tricia Yamashita was glad it was located close to the information booth so she could spend some money), where shoppers could find unique Japanese goodies (the band is scheduled for a trip to Japan in 2020!) and unique art pieces created by the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School students.
Dr. Kelly Robb of The Specific Chiropractic had a special scavenger hunt going, and Stacie Chiba Miguel of The Shops at Kukuiula still had ink on her pants from the special 10th anniversary creation by Shannon Hiramoto and the Garden Island Arts Council.
Myrvie Buster (she was at the Kauai United Way 2019 campaign kickoff!) said it’s not over because Garden Island Federal Credit Union hosts blackout bingo today!
