Laurie Anne Williams
Laurie Anne Williams, 60, passed away on July 27, 2019. She was born in Los Angeles on May 18, 1959, and was a singer and songwriter.
She was preceded in death by biological father Gary Williams, grandmother Kathryn “Mammy” Orvis and Uncle Johnny.
She is survived by parents, Anne and Tom Welsh, sister Mariln Lauritsen and aunt Sheila Orvis.
A celebration of life will be held at the Wai‘oli Hui‘ia Church in Hanalei on Saturday Aug. 17, with visitation to begin at 10:30 a.m. and services to follow.

Gloria Valdez Ka‘auwai
Gloria Valdez Ka‘auwai, 72, of Lihue, passed away on July 28, 2019. She was born in the Philippines on Oct. 17, 1946, and was a housekeeper at Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort &Spa.
She was preceded in death by husband Steven Ka‘auwai and grandson Gerry Rayray Jr.
She is survived by children Glenda (Joe) Ola, Gerry (Tracy) Rayray Sr., Gavino (Tonya) Rayray, Stephanie (Jeff) Escott and Barbara Ka‘auwai, and 13 grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m., with services to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
